Genital herpes is a sexually
transmitted disease caused by the herpes simplex virus (commonly HSV-2) and it spread
by vaginal, anal, and oral contact.

Genital herpes are
considered incurable and this virus can lay latent for days, months, or even
years between outbreaks. When it
becomes activated, there is a recurrent infection of the skin.
This infection is
characterized by extensive clusters of painful lesions involving the genitals,
anus, perineum, or surrounding areas
The first herpes infection,
called primary infection, develops about two to seven days after contact with
an infected person and it is usually more severe than those of recurrent eruptions.

Symptoms of genital herpes are:
- Tiredness
- Headache
- Fever
- Small red bumps appear that
become fluid-filled blisters
- Pus
- Scab.
