Obesity is an abnormal accumulation of body fat storage in adipose tissue, usually 20% or more over the ideal body weight and can occur at any age in either sex.

 

Among women, obesity is possible to occur after pregnancy and at menopause. During pregnancy, a woman usually gains about 15 kgs. weight.
